Sarah-Jayne Rayner

Senior Associate

Sarah-Jayne delivers pragmatic, commercial and strategic advice to her clients on all aspects of work health & safety and security issues as well as all regulatory matters affecting work health & safety more broadly.

SJ’s practice has been exclusively in this area of law. SJ has handled the most high profile, complex and sensitive matters across all Australian jurisdictions for clients in the leisure, construction, mining, resources, government, agribusiness, transport and logistics (road, rail, air), maritime and retail sectors.

SJ’s clients see her as a ‘safe pair of hands’ as SJ’s practical approach to assisting her clients is underpinned by a deep insight and fundamental understanding of the potential for long lasting consequences of miss-understanding of, or non-compliance with workplace regulatory regimes and that better health and safety outcomes ultimately leads to better compliance outcomes. SJ focuses on knowing how her advice could impact on their operations including possible commercial and reputational risks. SJ’s clients also get the benefit of her having held operational safety roles and having obtained a Master of Occupational Health and Safety.

SJ re-enforces her proactive approach by regularly delivering training and workshops to clients on work health & safety matters and also presents at regional and national conferences. SJ’s expertise in assisting clients with their post-incident response management is highly regarded.
