Michael is regarded for his focus on collaborating with clients to simplify complex issues, resolve workplace disputes and implement new mechanisms to streamline operational systems and processes. His measure of success is his position as a trusted advisor and sounding board for each of his clients.

Michael has worked in employment and safety law for over 10 years and has broad expertise across multiple industries, including construction, maritime, manufacturing, mining, health care and aviation. He holds established relationships with unions and regulators, which enables him to consider multiple perspectives and distil complex issues to provide practical, commercial guidance and advice that is easily implemented.

Michael has an established practice guiding his clients through workplace bargaining, dispute management and representation, strategic thinking and workforce planning, incident management, and court and tribunal proceedings.

Michael has a large global network which he leverages to support his clients. His key drivers are building lasting relationships, approaching issues from his clients’ perspectives, and sharing knowledge and celebrating successes. He practices by the motto that if he cannot help, he will find someone within his network that can.

Michael leads our migration practice with a team of professionals that regularly advise and represent clients on strategic migration matters, process sponsorship and visa applications, defending claims, and helping clients seamlessly relocate talent and operate effectively across borders.
