Jessica is an experienced workplace relations lawyer, and a trusted adviser in industrial relations and collective labour issues. She has been involved in many of the most important industrial relations contests this decade, as either a legal adviser, peak employer advocate or ministerial staffer.
Jessica provides strategic advice on the full spectrum of workplace matters. As a former General Counsel she understands the risk appetites and commercial realities of business and provides her clients crisp, practical advice.
A cool head during times of crisis, Jessica finds innovative solutions to industrial relations problems and calmly guides clients through contentious matters. An experienced employer advocate, she has unique expertise working with industry associations in running test cases and matters with broad industry impact, including Modern Award variations.
Her years walking the halls of Federal Parliament has given her unique insights into the political process and access to policymakers and the media, allowing her to assist clients in shaping, and responding to, workplace regulatory reform.
An expert in international labour law, Jessica advises multi-national corporations on complex cross-jurisdictional workforce issues. She represents Australian employers in Geneva at the International Labour Organisation, the United Nations agency responsible for setting international labour standards, and has been elected to the Governing Body of the ILO for the term 2024-2027.
