Duncan Fletcher
Partner
Duncan is affable, smart and determined to ensure his clients achieve the outcomes they’re seeking.
He helps clients find increased productivity and value from their workforce. He also works with clients to make the working environment safer. In doing so his focus is unapologetically on helping clients protect their greatest assets – their people, their brands and their businesses.
With 20 years’ experience in employment workplace relations and safety and a thorough understanding of the mining, resources, construction, transport and logistics industries, Duncan’s advice and guidance extends beyond basic employment and safety law to focus on the interaction between industrial relations and his clients’ overall operational strategies. He is motivated by getting to the core of the toughest issues and challenges facing his clients, and likes to explore and design innovative models for the engagement of labour forces.
When providing advice Duncan is pragmatic, strategic and is mindful of reputational outcomes as much as legal constraints and realities. He keeps abreast of changes in compliance requirements so that his advice is preventative rather than reactive and he is motivated by seeking simple, effective, low cost and time-sensitive solutions.
